What Is RefWorks?

  RefWorks is a web-based bibliography and database manager that allows you to create your own personal database by importing references from text files or online databases and other various sources. You can use these references in writing papers and automatically format the paper and the bibliography in seconds.
   

 

How to use RefWorks?

Creating Your Account As Part Of An Organization-Wide Subscription

 

  • Open your browser and go to www.refworks.com/refworks.
  • It's best when you create your account that you are on-site at your Organization (on an IP-authenticated computer) or logged in to the Organization's network through a VPN or proxy server.

To log in to RefWorks

 

  • Open your browser and go to www.refworks.com/refworks. Note: Your login URL may be different. Please check with your Organization for the appropriate RefWorks login URL.
  • Organizational users from an authorized IP address simply enter your Login Name and Password. (Individual subscribers click on the Individual Log-In tab first, then enter the Login Name and Password.)

Logging in from Off-Site (Organizational Users Only):

 

 
  • In your browser, go to www.refworks.com. You'll be brought to the RefWorks Login Center where you'll see three tabs (Remote Access, .
  • In the Remote Access tab, enter your organization's Group Code and click on Go To Login.
  • Enter your personal Login Name and Password.
