 Hand-over of theses / dissertations

◎  Graduates need to hand over theses/dissertations full text print and  electronic files when they leave the school.

 

 Electronic theses/ dissertations

Graduates should type their personal information at Taipei Tech ETDS, upload electronic theses/dissertations, and then sign the Letter of Attorney.

 

 Print theses/dissertations: two hard-cover and two soft-cover copies

Submit two hard-cover completed theses/dissertations to Taipei Tech library and two soft-cover copies to National Central Library and NCCU library separately.

 

 Instruction

1.Please hand in print theses/dissertations and the letter of attorney when graduates process the leaving-school procedures in the library.

2.Once your thesis/dissertation has been proved, you can upload your electronic thesis/dissertation, print it out and bind it. Please note that the content of the print and electronic copy should be the same.

3.Two hard-cover theses/dissertations are placed in the Theses & Dissertations Area of the third floor and in the Western Bound Periodical Area of the second floor separately. The one on the third floor cannot be borrowed while the one on the second floor is allowed to be checked out.

 

 

 Binding format

 The binding format of theses/dissertations are as follows

   ﹝Theses: maroon leather-bound cover & gold foil stamping

   ﹝Dissertations: black leather-bound cover & gold foil stamping

Chinese Electronic Theses and Dissertations Service (CETD) (Off-campus access is not available.)

 

CEPS (Chinese Electronic Periodical Services) is the first legally authorized online database in Taiwan which offers full-text periodicals published in China and Taiwan. Via the Internet, CEPS provides you fast, convenient and far-reaching services which allow one to easily search, browse, and download full-text content.

 

 

Electronic Theses and Dissertations System

 

You can search abstracts of theses/dissertations of all colleges or universities in Taiwan. Some authorized theses/dissertations of the 87th and 88th academic years can be browsed online

Other theses/dissertations can be checked in National Central Library and NCCU Social Science Information Center.

Readers can only browse abstracts and table of contents of theses/dissertations from the 94th academic year. The full texts are available in Electronic Theses & Dissertations Service.

 

ETDs (Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations)

 

The Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD) is an international organization dedicated to promoting the adoption, creation, use, dissemination, and preservation of electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs). Topics include how to find, create, and preserve ETDs; how to set up an ETD program; legal and technical questions; and the latest news and research in the ETD community.

 

PQDD-Digital Dissertation Consortium  (Off-campus access is not available.)

 

Libraries of various academic research institutions have been convened to form the Digital Dissertation Consortium, enabling members to search within the published digital theses and dissertations abstracts, indices and full-text imaging housed by the American Company ProQuest After 1997.

 

PQDT(1861- )-ProQuest Dissertations and Theses ─ A&I  (Previously known as PQDD)  (Off-campus access is not available.)

 

Dissertations & Theses, A&I (ProQuest) provides access to 2.3 million index and abstract records for U.S. and some international dissertations and masters theses. If published after 1997 in electronic PDF format, a 24-page preview of the document is included in the database.

 

Business Dissertation -ProQuest ABI/INFORM (Off-campus access is not available.)

 

10,000 full-text business dissertations and masters theses have recently been added to the ABI/Inform database. Most of the dissertations and theses come from the period 1999-2002 and are primarily sourced from North American universities.
