 Readings In The Library |

We collect various books, periodicals, newspapers, references, and etc. You can read all of these in the library. We also provide a reading area for readers.

Collection Circulation |

|
Students, school faculty and staff can borrow books with the student / faculty ID card. Alumni, retirees, and part-time professors need to apply for the library card at the circulation desk.
Please apply in person and provide the following required documents (1). The original diploma or the original retirement certificate (2). The original ID card (3). One photo : 1x1 inch sized color photograph, in plain background, taken within the last six months. (4). The fee is 100NTD. (5). The deposit is 3000NTD. (The original will be returned after verification.)The card is valid for three years.
Please apply for the card by yourself and do not let others use your library card, or both your rights will be suspended.
If the books you borrowed are overdue, you will not be allowed to borrow books and will be fined. Each volume will be fined NT 5 dollars per day. Fine limits to an accumulative total NT 2000 dollars. If books are returned damaged, contact the circulation desk in order to determine if you need to pay for a replacement or repair.

Librarians at the Reference Desk can answer readers' questions on phone or e-mail, and help reader to search the OPAC and online databases.

Online Database Searching |

|
Provide more than 100 kinds of databases and CD-Roms to search for information. With these databases, readers can get related information on journals, reports, and standards just by typing keyword, author's name, and title. Computers are also provided on the first floor. Please registe for using the computer at Reference Desk, and buy copying card to print or copy.

Course Reserves |

|
Textbooks or references are displayed on first floor at the beginning of each semester. They are for reading within the Library only, and should not be taken outside by anyone.

Books Seeking Service |

|
Readers can apply for the book seeking service when they cannot find the book on the bookshelf.

Interlibrary Loan |

|
Through interlibrary loan service, readers can apply to borrow or obtain copies of materials not included in our library collections. The library participates in agreements of cooperation with many libraries in Taiwan and abroad. Please register for your username at the Reference Desk. Moreover, readers need to pay the copying and mailing fee.

Audio-visual Service |

|
NTUT faculty can borrow videos, tapes, and CDs by their identified cards. There are 30 individual seats and three partitions with audio-visual equipment.

Book Donation |

|
Donating either books or funds to increase our collections is welcomed. The donator will be awarded a medal or a certificate. Please check the details in "The Rewards of Donators."

We hold many activities like book fair, freshmen's library tour, and special speeches every year.

Photocopiers are provided on every floor of the library. Readers can buy a copy card at the circulation desk on the first floor. Please operate the machine by yourself and obey Copyright Laws.
